About this object

The musicians are carved in ivory and they stand on barrels carved in wood. The main part of the barrels is in a natural color and the part representing the iron hoops is stained black. They have been carved from several pieces of ivory and pierced together. .5 plays the oboe. He blows into the instrument and holds it in front of him. He wears a flat hat, a long coat, trousers and boots.
