The rectangular frame is made in a dark colored wood. The grain of the wood is used as the design, with horizontal and vertical lines in the sides of the frame. It has been varnished. At the top center of the frame is a small imperial crown in metal. The inner edge of the frame is metal as well. It holds a photograph Tsar Nicholas II (56.7). He is bust length and faces slightly to the right. He wears a uniform and the badge of an imperial order.
