About this object
The frame is carved in ornate Rococo style with acanthus leaves at the top corner and a small Wedgwood medallion at the top (one inch in diameter). The medallion shows Venus and infant Cupid. The frame is on a pedestal base made of an imitation wood composition. It contains a photo of the painting of Dina Merrill as a child by Frank Salisbury in Hillwood's English Bedroom (51.144).
