About this object

The chest is small and arranged in two tiers. It has a cloth spindle at the top that acts as a pin cushion. There are four spindles at the corners of the lid for spools. The lid lifts up and there is a compartment inside. There are four more spindles at the corners of the lower section. This section contains a drawer. There are small pictures in primitive marquetry on the outside of the chest. There is a church on the front of the top section. There are diamond and arrow shapes on the front of the bottom. Other sections show stars, hearts, and a human figure in metal. The edges of the shelf sections are scalloped. It rests on four feet that are wooden pegs.
