About this object

The rectangular box has rounded corners. The cover is inlaid with two gold initials in script that are interlaced and surmounted by a nine pointed coronet. The interior is carved to hold two instruments one in the bottom of the box and one in the cover. The thumbpiece is a small gold button set in the front of the box.
