This wooden frame contains a black and white photograph mounted on paperboard of Marjorie Merriweather Post in a full length dark velvet gown, with a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, full skirt, and long sleeves whose fullness reach the floor, standing at the east end of the dining room at Hillwood and looking directly at the camera, which, looking northwest, takes in the north wall of the dining room, the fireplace, and the doors to the French Porcelain Room. The photo was taken by Arnold Newman.
