This painted wooden frame contains a black and white signed photograph mounted on paperboard of Marjorie Merriweather Post, ca. 1935. She is seated on a camelback sofa wearing a dark velvet full-length gown, full sleeves, a three-strand pearl necklace that extends below the bustline, a jeweled watch on her left wrist, rings on her left hand, and a pearl bracelet on her right hand. Her right foot, in a silver and dark-colored t-strap shoe, extends from under the hem of the dress.
