The chest is rectangular in shape. It has a folding top with the hinges showing on the front edge. Below this, on either side, are two vertical supports that pull out to support the top when folded out. There are two small drawers at the top between the supports. Below this are three full width drawers. The drawers have wide metal U-shaped pulls. The chest stands on bracket feet.
