About this object

The table in made in the Adam style. In the center of the table top is a painted oval medallion. In grisaille are several putti playing with a goat. They are surrounded by swags of flowers and bows. There are also swags in a border around the edge of the central panel and the extensions. The extensions have rounded corners. The table stands on square tapered legs with casters at the bottom. The legs have gilt wood channeling at the top and leaves at the bottom. There is a drawer at the narrow end.
