About this object

The wing armchair is made in the Chippendale style. It is upholstered in glazed chintz with a design of huge red roses and leaves on a pale beige background. It has scroll arms and a serpentine bottom edge. It stands on short cabriole legs made in mahogany which has been carved with acanthus leaves. There is a row of metal brads where the chintz meets the wood.
