About this object

The settee is covered with a paisley wool with a general tonality that is red. The top of the back is serpentine in shape. The low closed arms end in recessed scrolls edged in fringe. The seat cushion is also edged in fringe. It stands on short cabriole legs with a design of scrolled leaves. The front legs are carved and the outsplayed back legs are plain.
