About this object

The chest has a flat top with elaborate copper hinges. The front is divided into three sections. The center panel has a recessed shield with a stylized double-headed eagle on an ivory ground and diagonal red bar goes across the eagle. The shield has an orange border. Both of the side panels are angled slightly backwards. Each side panel has a recessed oval containing a painted panel of a castle. The chest is supported by six short feet extending from pegged supports. A handle extends from the right and left sides of the chest.
