About this object

The revolving book table is made from satinwood and mahogany. In the center of the top is a marquetry medallion which has a wreath design in the center. The outer border is made from four quarter circles. The table is edged with a chased ormolu band. The book shelf below is made in three spokes, each with three fenced sections to hold books. Below this is a pedestal on three splayed legs with an ormolu ornament on each side.
