About this object
The body is in three sections - the center which encloses a cupboard with two doors in the lower part and a shallow drawer in the upper, and two lower flanking wings which are curved and open. All three are topped with white marble. The side posts of the cupboard are fluted. The frames of the side wings are each inlaid with two thin strips of brass. On the back of the central section is carved the date 1793. Below this is carved a fleur-de-lys with L at the left and c at the right (probably later additions).
