The statuette represents is a young man holding a violin and bow. He holds the violing horizontally in front of him, and plays with his right hand. His head is tilted to his left. He is standing and wears a black tricorn hat, a grayish coat decorated with clusters of orange, blue and purple flowers, a yellow collar and gold buttons. He also wears a green waistcoat, yellow pants, white stockings, and white shoes with green pompoms. He stands on a round white base decorated with rococo scrolls touched with gold and two flowers in relief. There is a white tree stump behind him.
