About this object

The statuette represents a woman. She is seated on a grass-covered rocky ledge holding a large empty oval bowl painted with flowers in front of her on her lap. She holds a single flower in each hand as she grasps the bowl. The bowl looks like a shell on the outside. She wears a tall draped headdress in pale yellow, a white short sleeved cloak lined in mauve pink over a long-sleeved white dress with red flowers. This is slit up the front to reveal yellow pantaloons, and blue shoes. She sits on a seat that is connected to the flat base which is painted mottled gray with scattered flowers and leaves in relief.
