About this object

The round jar bulges outward on the upper section and narrows at the bottom. Around the side are panels that alternate in pale yellow and white. Each is decorated with a stylized Chinese motif. The neck has similar motifs on a yellow ground. The cover repeats the main body decoration and has a gilded bottom edge. The handle is a rose with stem and leaves.
