About this object

The bowl is shaped like a piece of fruit and is glazed white with a sprinkling of flower sprays and butterflies in colors. The gilt handle is shaped like the stem of the fruit with two veined leaves and a white bell shaped flower. The high base is decorated with gilt openwork rococo scrolls. The bowl is lobed and melon shaped. It is scalloped in cross section.
