These ten "Queen's Beasts" were designed for the Coronation of Elizabeth II on June 2, 1953 by Mr. James Woodford, O.B.E. and were set up at the annex at Westminster Abbey. The Red Dragon has a yellow underside and bears the shield of Wales with four counter-tinctured lines.
