The cup is cylindrical in shape with two curving gilt handles. On each side is a painted landscape in natural color within an eight sided gilt frame on a pale blue ground. In one is a landscape with a ruined tower. In the other is a stone bridge crossing a stream with trees and hills in the distance. The rim is gilded.
