This bulbous pear-shaped vase rises from a short straight foot to broad flaring shoulders and a tall cyclindrical neck with flaring rim. The interior is covered with a white crackle glaze while the exterior is glazed with langyao (sang-de-boeuf or oxblood). The foot ring is covered with a white crackle glaze which has been ground down and polished, indicating a later date.
