The statuette shows the characters of Scaramouche and Columbine from the Commedia dell'arte. They are both seated on a small couch. Columbine sits on the right and holds a violin in her hands in front of her. She wears a yellow hat, a frilled collar, a purple bodice, and white skirt decorated with flower clusters. Scaramouche sits to the left. He wears a red, white and blue striped beret, a frilled collar, a white jacket with flower clusters, a green apron over striped bloomers, white stockings, and black shoes. There is a small white and brown dog lying at his feet. The base is high and is edged with crinkly green grass. It rests on four scroll feet touched with red and blue.
