About this object

Oval bowl with softly molded ribs is resting on a splayed foot with gilded edge. Rim of the bowl flares out and is outlined with gold. Along the rim a continuous border of leaf vine is softly molded and painted blue. Underneath the rim series of elongated floral swags is molded in porcelain and painted blue. On each side of the bowl there is a monochromatic landscape scene painted in brown. One scene is showing a peasant hut surrounded with trees, and the other depicts several groups of trees framed by the hillsides on the background. Scene with antique ruins is depicted on the inside of the bowl.
