About this object
White ground with a central medallion (a la Cabinet service) of a view of Palermo surrounded by a gold border and gold lacey pattern, quite worn. The border of the platter has four small grisaille medallions of architectural monuments (in Palermo?) on wine. These are placed on large T-shaped patterns of light yellow. These are connected with a broad band of gold. Toward the edge of the platter from the gold band is a band of flowers, and a small gold leaf pattern is toward the center of the platter. From a service known as the Württemburg service.
