Handles are painted to imitate the style of 18th century Sevres, on each piece, on a turquoise blue ground, there are two oval reserves each with one exotic bird in a landsacpe on a white ground, each oval is framed by a narrow gilt band from which spring gilt sprays of flowers and leaves. Around the collar of each handle is a painted fringe like band in gilt, the ends of the handles are slightly curved, the metal rod inside the handle supporting the fork ends with a small extension outisde, the estension of the knife's rod is missing, leaving a hole. Painting of porcelain is crude, tines and blade are silver gilt.
