MARK; INSCRIPTION on base in blue overglaze, name of factory with eagle, in Tver, (see #289 p.483 in Saltykov for 1872-1889); impressed mark, (see #294 p.483 in Saltykov for 1889-1900); impressed 6; 14 May 1896 inscription in Cyrillic note: marks are confusing considering coronation took place in 1896 and the cup seems to have been made (according to Saltykov information) in 1889?????
