About this object
Border of the plate is gold and blue with a star of the Order of the White Eagle. In the center is an elaborate composition, a pedestal in blue and gold with the letter "M" and a long Russian inscription in gold letters on a white and blue ribbon, a breast plate with two swords, the whole surmounted by a helmet with the star of the order and the double-headed eagle eagle, all in gold. About these are laurel branches in pale green and various ciphers and dates in gold for Peter I (date 1704), Anna (1773), Paul I (1796), Alexander I (1813), Nicholas I (1831) and Alexander II (1855-1856).
