The bulbous cup features an elaborated design of ropes and chains in gold, medallions with an anchor or the Imperial orb on a blue ground, and rectangular panels in green. On the thumbpiece to the handle is the crowned cipher of Alexander II on a blue ground. There is no matching saucer.
