About this object
On front of cup is a very fine oval miniature of Alexander I in a rectangular gilt frame between banners in etched gold. Ground is dusty blue. Around rim is a row of beading in white glass with a gold band. Another gold band is around the base of the cup and the handle becomes a swan's head at top. Three feet are gilt and most of the inside of the cup is gilt. On saucer are double headed eagle and three imperial crowns in etched gold. It has same dusty blue as the cup and is outlined in gilt bands.
