About this object
Rosette inside on a white ground in gold and colors of red, mauve and green. Around the outside of the bowl is a border of traditional Russian designs on a blue ground edged with gold. The foot is gold. The shape is described in Wolf. La Manufacture Imperiale de Porcelain à St. Petersbourg, fig. 334, as a "salad bowl."
