About this object
Borders taken from old Russian motifs, a sort of rosette in red, green and gold alternating with a larger motif with an interlace on a red ground. Each is decorated with a chromolithographically printed scene of a single type of bird in an appropriate landscape. The bird is identified on the reverse. Caucasian pheasant.
