Cup has oval panel on front painted with a bust of Nicholas I facing left. He is dressed in a green uniform with gold epualettes and a red and gold collar. He wears the blue sash of the Order of St. Andrew. There are two badges and two stars on his left breast. Rest of surface is gilded and engraved with military trophies.
