About this object
The ground is turquoise blue with a fretwork with rosettes all in gold, on the front of the cup is a scene with three fishermen pulling in their nets while a fourth packs fish into a barrel, a ship's bow and mast a left, in the center of the saucer is a scene with two fishermen roping a bale, at the right another rolls a barrel, behind him are the bow and mast of a ship. On the inside of the cup's lip and on the outside of the saucer's rim there is a rococo scroll enclosing sablé areas all in gold.
