About this object
This set of plates forms part of an elaborate dessert service. A pale pink ground highlighted with gold rococo scrolls and areas of white decorated with polychrome flowers distinguishes these pieces. In the center of each plate, on white, is a spray of flowers sorrounded by a floral wreath in natural color. The pink scalloped rim has three three panels reserved in white each containing a cluster of flowers, and flanked by small sections of lattice and floral sprays in raised gold. Service pieces (24.199..) are elaborately gilded with contrasting areas of matte and burnished gold and foliate and marine motifs in relief.
