About this object
The ground is turquoise-blue. On one side of the vase is a scalloped oval panel painted with a rustic scene of a girl seated by a sheep being fed by a boy at the left, an empty bird cage in the foreground. On the other side of the vase a panel reserved in white containing a large cluster of flowers in natural color. The body of the vase is covered with profuse gilt floral scrolls. The inside top edge of each vase has a gilt scroll. The part of each vase that fits into the base is covered with gilt caillouté, as is the lowest part of the base.
