About this object

Eight-sided bottle in green glass. Bottle has been cut so that the narrow neck undulates before the base flares out sharply. Top inch of the decanter is completely severed and below this ribs are picked out in silver. Widest portion is decorated with repeating pattern on each facet. On each rib is a simple columnar form with lobed arches springing from the capitals. The vases are connected by scrolling forms. A flower in tooled silver is centered in each. The stopper is decorated with a crowning ball, a narrow waist and flares outward. The stopper is also cut in eight facets. The ribs of the faceted ball are picket out in silver. On each is a repeated scrolling form in silver.
