About this object

Tumbler has a gold band at the top and bottom. On a white glass medallion affixed to the front in a gold border is the head of Alexander I in profile in grisaille on a Pompeian red ground. He is looking right and wearing a crown of laurel leaves. The rest of the tumbler has been cut in a fine diamond pattern. The underside is cut in a fine star pattern that reaches the outer edge. Cover is partially cut in a fine diamond pattern and the edge is cut in a series of horizontal facets. The faceted knop on top is partially gilded.
