About this object
Stem has one round and three faceted knops. Conical bowl is decorated with the cipher of Elizabeth I (Elizaveta Petrovna) and the imperial crown on one side. On the opposite side is the imperial eagle within a circular medallion. There are engraved scrolls and leaves between and dart shaped motifs around the lower part. The base of the bowl is decorated within engraved pointed arches. Rim is hot-worked. Stem is decorated with (from top to bottom): 1) faceted cushion knop; 2) a faceted inverted baluster knop; and, 3) a plain proper knop. There is a decorative bubble in the stem's interior. Base is plain with a ridged edge.
