About this object

Body of bowl is cut all over with abstract star, diamond and leaf shapes. Bulges near bottom and then tapers gradually to top which is mounted in silver chased with a band of acroteria and at very top a wreath of leaves and berries. Silver top is palin on inside. Underneath of shallow foot is cut with a star pattern. Cover is silver, gilt on inside. Knob is egg shaped, decorated with chased band of guilloche. On cover is a band of beading.
