About this object
Made of red marble, these urns have fluted necks and bottoms. Mounts in the form of satyrs' heads are linked with fruit-laden grapevines, and a band of guilloché encloses a rosette in each center. The splayed foot on each urn is mounted at the base with a laurel wreath in ormolu.
