About this object
The seal is shaped like the bust of a man, identified as Ivan Susanin. He has a full beard and moustache and long hair. He wears an old fashioned jacket with the closure on the left side. His right hand is raised. He touches his forehead with two fingers. The circular base has channeled sides and an oval bottom. It is engraved M. Korsakov (probably Mikhail S. Korsakov (1826-71), general governor of East Siberia 1861-71.
