About this object
Main part of frame is a beautiful piece of rhodonite. It is rectangular with four corners extending. The photograph of Grand Duchess Tatiana, daughter of Emperor Nicholas II, is surrounded by a border of gold, green enamel, and pearl dots (see 56.34). At top is a lover's knot in gold with a tiny diamond. From this hangs swags and loops in gold and silver flowers. At two lower corners are two tiny diamonds set in gold. Photograph is held in place by a piece of mother of pearl. A-shaped piece holds frame erect in silver gilt.
