About this object

The ornamental fish is carved somewhat realistically in bloodstone. The scales are depicted with cross hatching. It has a large fin on its back that projects upwards and the tail turns downwards. Its mouth is open and its eye is wide open. The body, two forward fins, and tail are arranged that it will rest easily on the table for decorative purposes.
