About this object
The base of the inkwell is rounded at the back and has a slot that functions as a pen rack at the straight front. On the base sits two inkwells, also carved from agate. They have glass liners. Each container has a gold and coral red enamel band at the base and on the rim. At the top of each lid is a coral pearl with a diamond.
