About this object
The main portion of the rectangular frame is made in mottled black and white marble. The inner edge is made in gold between two bands in white enamel. This is set at intervals with strips of lapis lazuli in a decorative motif. There is one each at the top and the bottom, and two each on the sides. It contains a miniature of CW Post. He is seated three quarters length with his right arm propped on a table and he is holding a piece of paper in his right hand. His left hand grasps the top of a cane. He wears a suit and the background is plain.
