About this object
The flat malachite bowl, bordered by a gilt bronze rim, has a bronze base decorated with acanthus leaves. Malachite veneer was applied in a random arrangement into the stem of the tazza, and in a pattern recreating the veins of malachite on the surface of the bowl. In the center of the bowl is Demidov name in Cyrillic surmounted by a prince's coronet.
