About this object
A traveling trunk made by "Meubles de Voyage H.Bert" in Avignon, France, circa 1900s. The frame is bentwood decorated with black stencil design with brass studs and brass lock plates. Interior fully lined in wool twill window plained plaid, cream with navy and gold; plain weave linen hinge straps on either side. Removable top tray in cardboard covered in pink cotton and wrapped in purple gingham paper underneath. One strut missing, one completely detached, one partially detached. Struts covered in gingham fabric.
