About this object
Labeled "Pavillion Covers for Walls Etc. Ect./ Jan 17 1968" [sic on Pavillion] on taped tag handwritten on one side contains covers. This series of trunks was presumably used for storing closing-the-house supplies for each room, as labeled, in the Hillwood mansion. After Marjorie Post’s departure from Hillwood to Camp Topridge for the summer or to Mar-A-Lago for the winter, a crew stayed behind to close Hillwood.
