About this object
Cream colored girdle made of two handmade floral lace patterns—one in the front and one in back with woven canvas (early elastic) sides. The bottom of the girdle has a 4” floral lace border with a scalloped edge covering the garters which are made of a pleated cream ivory 1 ¼” silk ribbon with metal and rubber slide clasps. At each garter attachment point are three small ivory ribbon roses with leaves. The girdle closure is comprised of twenty-one metal hooks and eyes backed with cream silk ribbon.
