About this object
Rectangular off-white cotton plain weave organdy placemat trimmed with a scalloped border of realistic pale blue repeating fish outlined in embroidered satin and buttonhole stiches. Their gills are cut away as eyelets. Center of the place mat features a horizontal oval nautical rope in blue satin stich embroidery. Each side of the oval has embroidered rope ends of the same treatment, (four total).
